Your website is like the store which your prospects will be shopping in.  Getting them there is the easy part… keeping them there is the hard, but absolutely necessary part.  And believe me – not all website-hosting services are created equal.  There are definitely website-building/hosting services that are much more user-friendly than others.  Having a user-friendly service, can be extremely helpful, especially if you tend to be a bit of a Techno-phobe, or have no previous experience creating your own website.

I wanted to shared a quote with you that I saw on Twitter yesterday. It went like this…

“Some days we are the pigeon, and some days we are the statue.”

What we do on the days that we are the “statue” DEFINES who we are.

You see, I believe that SUCCESS is in each one of us. It need only be set free from the grip of fear, self-doubt, and the ugliness of past pains.

SUCCESS… a word in itself that creates fear in some. The fear of failure can sometimes pale in comparison to our fear of facing possible success!

With FAILURE – things stay the same. You stay the same. The world remains a safe place to exist… but what you must decide is if you wish to do MORE than just exist.

With SUCCESS – things change. YOU change. You are forced outside of your comfort zone, forced to EXPERIENCE life on a whole new level.

Scary thought for some…

So everyone of us, MUST decide at some point in our lives… do we want more? But are we afraid to HAVE MORE?

Are we afraid others will see us differently… perhaps not accept the NEW and SUCCESSFUL version of us?

Do we or do we not, OWE it to ourselves to find out?…

Whatever HOPES you have for your experience with Network Marketing, what you dream of – 1000 distributors signed up under you, $5000 extra a month just from affiliate income, more time and financial independence, creating your own Internet Marketing system, becoming a Network Marketing celebrity…

So exactly what does the little symbol with the letters “RSS” mean?  RSS stands for “really simple syndication” and RSS feeds are simply online news feeds.  RSS feed symbols can be found on every blog and social media site across the web.  They provide an effective way to spread your content to other people or websites.  But RSS feeds are not just for social media anymore.  This syndication tool is also creating a way for business owners to increase their visibility on the Internet.

RSS Feeds:  How to Promote Your Business:

When you create RSS feeds for your website or blog, you will need to promote your feeds just like you would with any other web content you publish.  The feeds should be promoted on your website or blog, within your social networks, in emails to your contact list, and in your forum discussion threads.  Make sure you add an RSS feed icon to all pages on your website and link the icon to the URL of the feed so it can easily be added to RSS feed readers.  It is also tremendously beneficial to take the time to register your feeds with the major search engines, news aggregator, and feed directories.

Promoting your RSS feeds is similar to promoting your website, blog, or lead capture page.  The titles of your news feeds can be optimized with the use of keywords and keyword phrases.  Those same keywords and keyword phrases should be incorporated into the content of your feeds.  RSS is fast becoming the next big thing in search engine optimization (SEO).  By using RSS feeds to syndicate your website content, you can increase the amount of inbound links to your site. 

Search engines like Google are certainly taking note of RSS feeds as well.  Search engines notice regularly updated content and a feed helps bring your site to their attention.  More and more RSS feeds are coming up high on keyword search results lists and users may not even be aware they are reading a news feed.

According to Wikipedia, SEO is defined as “the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a website from search engines via ‘natural’ or unpaid (‘organic’ or ‘algorithmic’) search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion.”

In Internet marketing, one’s goal in practicing search engine optimization is to achieve a higher page ranking.  This is key to getting your site to appear on page one of the search results list.  As most people probably know, sites appear on the search results list according to their relevance to the search terms that were used.  The more relevant your site is, the higher it will be ranked with the top search engines and the higher it will appear on the search results list.  When you are searching for something on Google, how often do you go beyond the first or maybe second page of the sites listed in the search results?  Exactly.  So getting your site listed on the first page should be your main goal in SEO.

How do you go about getting a page ranking for your site?  Let’s look at Google as an example.  Google assigns a PageRank to a site based on how important they deem that particular site to be to their users. That’s what it’s all about for Google – value for the user.  It is not the only thing Google uses to determine a site’s PageRank, but it is an important piece of the puzzle.  One of the things Google uses to determine a site’s “importance” is the amount of “votes” or backlinks that a site receives.  In other words, the more often a user visits your site from a link that was placed on another site (backlink), the more important your page must be according to Google.  Also, when a link from a high PageRank site goes back to your website, your PageRank will benefit even more.

An important key in receiving a higher page rank with Google, which holds over 85% of the search engine market, is: content, content, content.  Three things the content on your website must contain:

            1.  Clear, precise, and helpful information which is relevant to the search terms and adds value in some way to       the users’ lives.

            2.  Google loves to see the keywords in the heading or title of your website’s landing page. 

            3.  Keywords sprinkled throughout the content of your website as well – notice I used the term “sprinkled.”  Do not saturate your website with keywords, lest you risk looking spammy which Google hates.
